That’s What You Get For Chasing The $

Robinson Cano posted a very curious video this past week basically inferring that he is unhappy in Seattle and wants back in New York.

Well Cano, that’s what you get.  You chased the big bill instead of looking towards your future and seeing what greatness you could’ve accomplished and could’ve helped the New York Yankees accomplish.

Back in 2009 I believe, Cano’s contract was up with the NYY and it was a well-known fact that he wanted some BIG cash, and the Yanks weren’t going to give it to him.

The only team willing to do so was the Seattle Mariners who locked him into a 10-year deal, that’s right, 10 years in rainy cold Seattle.  I wouldn’t want to live there.

Now I can somewhat see what Cano was doing here, coming off a couple of All-Star performance seasons, if you can get the money take it, as a college student, I’d take that money any day of the week and that’s exactly what he did.

Now instead of winning World Series, Cano is locked in for another 7 years of his life in Seattle that is unless he opts out of his contract leaving a concerning amount of money on the table.

But I guess all there is to do is wait and see, you never know what goes through these athletes minds.
